  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water Use Reusable Bottles
What are some of the needs that water meets or benefits that water provides for you?

    Tenneh Berete 11/20/2020 10:06 PM
The main need for water is for survival because humans need water to drink, water to produce crops, etc.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Water Brush My Teeth Without Running Water
What is the main water source in your region? If you don't know, how could you find out?

    Tenneh Berete's avatar
    Tenneh Berete 11/20/2020 10:04 PM
The main source of water comes from aquifers. I found out by googling my region and what is the main water source.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

    Tenneh Berete's avatar
    Tenneh Berete 11/20/2020 10:02 PM
Farming impacts the health of water because the runoff from the fertilizer can go into nearby streams, rivers, or lakes. Globally, drilling for oil has affected the health of the water system because oil spills occurred and harmed many ecosystems in the water. To improve the health of water systems, more policies should be placed to help protect these ecosystems.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Water Say No to Plastic Straws
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

    Tenneh Berete's avatar
    Tenneh Berete 11/09/2020 5:14 PM
I don't use many single-use items because I have reusable straws, and I normally make coffee at home, so instead of using coffee cups, I use coffee mugs.
