REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Switch to Cold WaterWhat do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?
April C 4/23/2021 5:19 PMI’m not sure I’ll notice significant cost savings. Our electric bill is actually quite reasonable already. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Adjust the ThermostatYour utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?
April C 4/23/2021 5:18 PMWe actually use less than average. I would love solar for running our pool pump in summer. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Insulate Water Pipes and Water HeaterHow do you think climate change will affect your region’s water supply? Think about the effects of weather, storms, salinity, and sea level rise, among other changes. How can you find out more about climate change’s impact to your region's water?
April C 4/23/2021 5:17 PMInsulating was easy and inexpensive. I did read though that there are more impactful ways to reduce water heating expenses. First, set your water tank to a lower temperature. Second, do your hot water tasks in quick succession so that you take advantage of what is in the pipes. -
April C 4/19/2021 1:34 PMInsulating water pipes turned out to be very easy and inexpensive, though I’ve read that a greater energy savings is to simply turn the temp down on your water tank. -
April C 4/16/2021 10:37 AMI think I will make my to do and supplies tonight and prepare this weekend!
