I am in a Facebook group called new urbanist memes for transit oriented teens. I am so anti car. High density living and efficient mass transit is the solution to sustainable urbanism! I love trains!

By taking a 5 minute shower, i not only reduce my footprint but I also don't have enough time to shave, so my actions are not feeding into the patriarchal expectations of hairless women! The next step I'll take/currently am taking is reducing my plastic waste - i noticed every single one of my bathroom supplies, like shampoo, conditioner, face wash, etc., are all in plastic bottles!!!! As soon as I finish what I have, I will transition into only using face wash and shampoo and conditioner bars, which require very little packaging and no plastic.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Walk Instead
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Does this statistic describe your own transportation habits? If so, how might you incorporate more muscle-powered transportation in your daily life?
