I have been trying to plan more meals by coming up with cooking ideas and then buying the ingredients. Instead of buying a lot of other random food items.

Being creative is necessary when practicing simplicity because you need to think of ways to best utilize food and products. Like how to re use them or make them last longer

I watched the Food Inc documentary with my family and it was great to see them thinking about how they can make a difference and want to consume less meat.

I got my family to get together last night and watch Food Inc. It's a documentary that shows the horrible way animals in the food industry are treated and where your food comes from. When I first saw it in 7th grade, it completely changed my perspective on "fast food" and has made me more aware of where my food comes from. 10/10 recommend you watch it! (It can be graphic, but it's eye opening)

I went for a walk on the beach today and was picking up trash along the way. I saw a lot of fishing line in the water and stuck in the seaweed as well. Next time I'll try to remember to bring a knife or something because I couldn't untangle the lines.

Planning out my meals for the week or even for the next day has helped me to eat healthier, save money, and create less waste.

Today at work I started asking people picking up their orders if they needed chopsticks and utensils so I wouldn't give them some with their order if they didn't need it. A few people said they didn't need anything so that was able to reduce a little waste.
