REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Visit A Local FarmHow do our current food growing and manufacturing processes affect our future and the future of Earth?
Mexline Garcia 4/29/2022 1:49 AMI think the way we eat and the food we eat affect the earth and humans. If we continue to alter our products, the world will pollute faster because of how factories are working now, like fast fashion or how companies throw chemicals in the ocean. The food growing will get to a point where there is no more water left to make food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Car ShareTake a moment to think of places you frequent often (school, work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
Mexline Garcia 4/29/2022 1:46 AMYes, I plan to go to my best friend's house and go to class together in her car. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Practice Gratitude for EarthKathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How can we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?
Mexline Garcia 4/29/2022 1:44 AMI think a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. If you are thankful for something, you will most likely appreciate it and keep doing it, resulting in moral responsibility. I think we can cultivate a sense of gratitude for others if we understand things they do and make sure they know they are making a difference. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Learn More and AdvocateHow do the differences in access to reliable transportation affect your community? What would you like to see change?
Mexline Garcia 4/29/2022 1:34 AMI think something that can affect reliable transportation is that the Gas can go up, and vehicles can be more expensive than taking the bus. I personally prefer if everyone would take the bus because the bus would be complete and almost the same amount of carbon emission will be used as a -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Mexline Garcia 2/24/2022 6:35 PMSomething that stands in my way from switching from a regular single-use coffee cup to a reusable cup is remembering to always have a reusable cup in hand. Something that will help me remember to get an alarm before I leave home to make sure I go home with a cup. I am happy that I am making a difference -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Mexline Garcia 2/17/2022 9:18 PMI feel more at peace because when I walk, I feel I'm making something productive and being about to enjoy the nature in my neighborhood. When I pass by in the car, I see my area for a split second, but I can appreciate my community's fantastic views when I walk. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Mexline Garcia 2/17/2022 12:21 AMI think bottled water is hard to avoid because it tastes better than tap water.
I can make this a habit by just thinking of the pros and cons of using water bottles and how this will help the environment if I stop using them and avoid them at all costs.-
Professor Morrell 2/23/2022 7:30 PMCan you filter tap water?

Mexline Garcia 2/13/2022 10:15 PMI think by having the camera on and participating in my opinions while also keeping everyone in the meeting engage. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Mexline Garcia 2/13/2022 10:15 PMI think I would want to hang out with friends while I exercise to spend quality time together. Also, I think we can make memories while idling something that will help our health in the long term. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Mexline Garcia 2/12/2022 9:40 PMI would like to sleep an extra hour but not get naps to be more productive throughout the day. I think sleeping helps me by being more inspired in life and what I do.
