REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Limit Social MediaSocial media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also create echo chambers and take more time than we realize or intend to give. After completing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Xiu Mei Golden 4/23/2021 12:47 PMSince doing this action for multiple days in a row, I get a lot more done. I choose to read a book or listen to a podcast instead of going on social media which means there are less distractions popping up on my phone. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My Home or Dorm RoomHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more unnecessary things in the future?
Xiu Mei Golden 4/22/2021 6:03 PMIt always is the things that you never need but once every few months that clutters my room. If I don't use it often, then it doesn't have a place which means it ends up on the floor, or my dresser, or somewhere else. I have a box right now that I keep things like this in and it has been helping. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Xiu Mei Golden 4/21/2021 7:42 AMMeat is expensive due to all the resources that go into producing it. I think that it is not worth eating meat due to the all the environmental impacts that it has. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Xiu Mei Golden 4/20/2021 1:35 PMA personal challenge I have set during this year was to read more books and this challenge has really helped move that along as I am actively avoiding screen time as much as possible -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Xiu Mei Golden 4/12/2021 4:36 PMThere’s a lot more you can enjoy in the cities when walking in them. Plus much more wildlife,
