  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

Meat is a luxury for us as it is expensive to produce and is not energy efficient. Most animals can be used for other food other than just their meat. Eating meat is extremely energy expensive and it requires much more than just producing agriculture. We have to feed the animals and grow their food and use pesticides and produce growth hormones to maximize the animal growth (however unappealing that may seem). It is quite upsetting to have but it is how we get our meat right now, no matter how humane some meat production places are.
