REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Food LifestyleMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?
Mathilde Gleerup Hansson 11/18/2021 3:18 PMThinking long term. By being aware of what you eat, you can avoid numerous diseases caused by an unhealthy food consumption. I definitely agree with this statement. I think that your nutrition sources are crucial determinants for your overall health. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Go by BikeHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience differ while walking, riding transit, biking, or driving?
Mathilde Gleerup Hansson 11/17/2021 3:51 PMMy experience of Honolulu is definetly affected by my way of commuting by bike. I feel more free to try out new stores I drive by. As, it is easy for me to try out small local pop-up shops, I can support locals. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Enjoy the Sunrise/SunsetFather Thomas Berry says, "... our primary purpose is celebration. Mathilde Gleerup Hansson 11/17/2021 3:46 PMI defineatly agree with his statement. Only through a deep appriciation of our surroundings can we understand how to treat the environment, our social relations and ourselves with respect. -
