    Some human activities that impact the health of water systems are agriculture, use of fertilizers, manures, pesticides, industrial and domestic sewage, mining, and recreational activities. One way to improve the health of water systems is to implement rainwater harvesting systems to collect and store rainwater for drinking or recharging underground aquifers.
