An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

I will plant native species, landscape with water-efficient plants, and use eco-friendly fertilizers.

I will meet 1 new neighbor(s) each day.

I will spend 30 minutes learning about the experiences of trans, femme, and/or nonbinary people.

I will connect with a local nonprofit, environmental or otherwise, and find out how I can get involved or become a member.

I will decide which social or environmental issue in my community is most important to me and tell 1 friends and/or classmates each day about the issue.

I will raise money to support Ecochallenge.org or another nonprofit.

I will host a watch party to screen a documentary about an issue that matters to me.

I will learn about sustainable fashion and begin trying to practice it in my own life.

At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators to produce fruit. I will spend 60 minutes researching which plants support local native pollinators and plant some in my yard or local community garden.

Bring items for the Reusing Closet in the Learning Commons. Support ISB's efforts to reuse and find creative uses for common items.
