Health
Know My health
I will get my Core Four Biometrics tests (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and BMI).
Nature
Explore My Area
I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area.
Energy
Power Down the Computer
I will power down my computer and monitor when not using it for more than 2 hours, saving up to (1.1) lbs of CO2 each day that I do this.
Food
Smart Seafood Choices
I will visit seafoodwatch.org or download the app and commit to making better seafood choices for a healthier ocean.
Food
Reduce Animal Products
I will enjoy 2 meatless meal(s) and/or 0 vegan meal(s) each day this week.
Waste
Prevent Recycling Contamination
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will spend 30 minutes researching which materials are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community and recycle only those items.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Know My healthHow do you deal with the physical and emotional stress of the big problems we face? How can you help others cope?
Greg Lawson 4/19/2021 10:19 AMIt's very difficult. Some days are better than others. I try to walk every day and de-stress by enjoying the environment around me, the company of my dog, and the feel of the sun and air against my face. Sometimes all you can do is try to remember to do one's own part, that you can't act for everybody, or solve things that are not in your control.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow might spending more time outdoors enhance your brainpower?
Greg Lawson 4/13/2021 9:47 AMIt turns on your power of observation, attunes your senses to your environment. It is a constant stimulus to absorb and to which you can respond. Breathing fresh air, feeling the sun on your face, hearing the rustle of the leaves in the trees in the breeze, the sounds of a hawk's screech, or the crash of the ocean waves - they inspire thoughtful connectedness to one's surroundings. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Power Down the ComputerWhat are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?
Greg Lawson 4/13/2021 9:43 AMWe only run the heat for a few minutes at a time in the morning - and only if it's so cold that a sweatshirt isn't enough to stay warm. We know that saves energy. When we use the dishwasher - we wait until we have a full load to operate the machine, and do it off-peak to save energy at critical use hours. -
