    Health Happiness
How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

Practicing gratitude means that I can remain humble and appreciate the little things in life that people may take for granted. Being a humble human-being makes you give a different prospective on life and the world. I believe you keep the world a satisfied when there's more act of kindness that circles around us. Not everyone will practice kindness but there are those that will and to be apart of it makes the world work for a better society.

Practicing gratitude helps better our health and helps us stay focused on the good in the world. It is good to come with inner peace for ourselves, because affects on how we treat the world. This can act as motivation and keep us well rounded individuals.

    Health More Fruits and Veggies
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

I believe eating more fruits and vegetables , makes you more active, happier, and makes us live longer. I know without a doubt when we eat better things other people will follow along and try out the new diet that makes you in a better mood for themselves. Eating more fruits and vegetables makes us continue to look youthful while also living longer on our planet.

Hi Briana, I believe that eating fruits and vegetables will help our bodies and system thrive for the long run. They carry a lot of nutrients and protein that our bodies desire. Although meaty foods are good (which is why most people continue to eat it), it can also be unhealthy if its consumed every day. Thus means that keeping that balance or eating some kind of fruit or vegetable can help our bodies and planet for the better.

Action Track: Building Resilience Support Businesses Owned by People of Color
A recent Keen Independent Research Foundation study found that Minority Businesses Enterprises (MBEs) are more likely to have difficulties in receiving loans or city contracts. In what ways can you work to address systemic racism like that demonstrated in this study?

Some ways to address systemic racism would be share your views and voice on social media, support any small business that are owned by a person of color to improve their chances of approving for a business loan even if their doing it inside their home, possibly create a organization that helps fund businesses to people of color to where they wouldn't need a loan, and demonstrating a peaceful protest at bank loans and the city council.

Hi Briana, I'm supper impressed by all of the solutions you suggested in your response. Sharing views and supporting businesses on social media is a really big one! Social media has taken over the world many people have it and can spread awareness through it.

    Food Zero-Waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for using every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable (including the skins, tops, stalks, etc.) during your next meal prep?

Zero food waste is a huge responsibility to me because I am in culinary arts and if you ask any chef we do not like to waste anything. I've had that habit of throwing something away if it was no longer needed but, today I cooked without throwing anything away and actually saving it for another time.

I'm not a chef like you but I also do not like to waste food. I was recently taught how to create other meals from food leftover. So instead of throwing out the rotisserie chicken, instead use the remainder to make a chicken salad.

Yes, I completely agree with this as there are many parts of food that are constantly wasted. Personally, I find that most of the parts of both vegetables and animals can be given a better use both for the environment, pets or used in the making of other foods like soup broths.

Depending on what kind vegetable it is you can use it in stir fry, salads (If it doesn't need to be steamed or sauteed), vegetables with any poultry or fish, or create the easiest which would be
       soups
