Waste
Go Paperless
I will reduce the amount of paper mail that I receive by 0.11lbs (0.05kg) a day or 3.3lbs (1.6kg) a month by opting into paperless billing, ending unwanted subscriptions and opting out of junk mail.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Katlyn Lindner 10/26/2021 9:16 PMUse less amounts of water and do small tasks such as not running the water while brushing your teeth or while scrubbing your hands. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Katlyn Lindner 10/26/2021 9:12 PMIn my opinion I find that my tap water is not very good so I resort to plastic water bottles but now that I am more informed about water and how bad plastic is I have purchased a Brita water filter and have been utilizing my reusable water bottles more -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Skip the StrawHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Katlyn Lindner 10/26/2021 9:09 PMBuy products that are reusable and do not need to be thrown away after a single use. If I happen to buy products made of plastic I would recycle them and make sure they are not going to harm wildlife or the environment by cutting the items into smaller pieces. -
