Its going good, just a little difficult to keep up with everything but I like the challenge which is fun! It teaches you to be driven and keep pushing forward when things get rough.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski 11/19/2019 9:29 AM
I think that if you don't have reusable bags then you can just put everything back into the cart and take it out then you can just carry it into the house or find something that you can carry it with!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski's avatar
    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski 11/19/2019 9:25 AM
It helps out because I am preventing things from going out into the world and becoming litter and this could be permanent if I continue to do it!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski 11/19/2019 9:24 AM
It makes me feel good because I'm doing something bigger than myself and it is helping out rather than not!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski's avatar
    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski 11/19/2019 9:23 AM
I could think wisely about what I really do need and what I can reuse instead of using things that arrant really beneficial for this enviorment!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Meditate
What would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?

    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski's avatar

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?

    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski's avatar
    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski 11/19/2019 9:20 AM
It helps me realize the things that I need and the things that I can get creative with and help me with understanding that I can do things without buying or anything of that sort!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Eat Mindfully
Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?

    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski's avatar
    Avery Malicki-Czaplewski 11/19/2019 9:20 AM
When I practice mindfulness I really do see what's around me and it is eye opening and it does entail a lot of good things, like genuine conversation and things like that!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I think it gives you good karma and makes things a lot better for others, you could be making their day and when you do that people are generally happy!
