REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
David Odeh 12/10/2021 8:31 PMWhen I walk around the city instead of driving I find interesting quiet places that I wouldn't have discovered if I used a car. Just to experience nature with some peace and quiet is refreshing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
David Odeh 12/10/2021 10:58 AMSome of the human activities that impacts the health of water systems are pollution, climate change, inadequate treatment for sewage and other urban waste. Things people can do to improve the health of water systems is to do things like engage in good hygiene habits through education, improve sanitation facilities, and use low cost solutions, like as chlorine tablets to improve water quality. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
David Odeh 12/10/2021 9:52 AMI can invite my friends that live close to me and join me on walks outside. However, this would depend on weather as some of my friends hate cold weather. In addition to this I can add a competitive element to the challenge by implementing prizes. For example whoever finishes the the entire workout the quickest buys the other person food. -
David Odeh 12/05/2021 8:14 AMHi folks,
I choose to do three daily actions to be completed at least once each for challenge level one. I looked at the different categories and selected actions that I thought I could do easily and stay consistent throughout the period of time available. These actions include driving less when I don’t have to, go for daily walks, and exercise more often. For challenge level two, I chose taking 5-minute showers as the one daily action to complete twice. I selected these daily actions because I used to do these things back at home. Since, I have returned on campus I have slacked off on most of these daily actions. I wanted to get back to my old routine and now this is my chance to do it again.
