REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Conserve Toilet WaterWhat would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?
Kyra Owen 11/29/2020 3:12 PMA sustainable water future in my region would include implementing the use of reusable water bottles, toilets that need a lower amount of water to flush, and more eco-friendly appliances. As a resident in Philadelphia, there needs to be a restructure for most of the houses in the area. A lot of the houses are old and use more water for their appliances and usage. With this said, the government should pay for upgrades to reduce the amount of water usage per household. Along with that, they should implement water refill stations around the city for people to refill their reusable water bottles and for the homeless population to have access to clean water for drinking. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Use Reusable BottlesWhat are some of the needs that water meets or benefits that water provides for you?
Kyra Owen 11/29/2020 2:50 PMWater is needed for survival. Therefore, it is vital to have enough clean water for humans and animals to drink. Wasting this water on producing plastic bottles is such a waste that is unacceptable. Water is needed to keep humans alive, moving, and their bodies in function. Thus, water is beneficial for humans in all aspects and must be attained for survival. I use reusable water bottles to reduce the waste of clean water and because it is easy for every person to incorporate into their lives. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Kyra Owen 11/29/2020 2:32 PMPracticing gratitude has kept me centered and motivated for a better world because it made me realize how fortunate I am. I am not wealthy, by any means, but I am lucky enough to have an amazing family and friends. These people have made me realize how much I can do and how much I can help the world by showing me how important I am to them and how much they are to me. Practicing gratitude has kept me grounded with this world we live in and has made me want to help everyone I come across. I want a better world and will help by being compassionate, understanding, and helpful to those who need me. -
Kyra Owen 11/16/2020 4:32 PMI have decided to reduce my refined sugar intake due to my unhealthy habits and sweet tooth. Along with my sugar intake, I decided to write three things that I am grateful for throughout this week b due to the increase of COVID cases. It is important for my mental health to be grateful for the things I have in my life when outside factors are uncontrollable. Lastly, I am going to only flush when necessary to reduce the amount of water usage.
