A lack of nutritious food in the community or also known as a “food desert” can lead to obesity, depression, and a non-healthy lifestyle. Having access to healthy food within the community can fight back against these problems.

Personally I have a want to go good to my community. The high you feel after helping out your community can really push the rest of your day in a great direction.

    Transportation Conduct Virtual Meetings
How can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?

    Frank Przekwas 3/17/2021 4:36 PM
In my opinion virtual meetings are just the same value wise and culture wise. The only main difference is the location. As long as every has their voice heard it is the same as an in-person meeting.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Reduce refined sugar
Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?

    Frank Przekwas's avatar
    Frank Przekwas 3/11/2021 4:22 PM
I definitely wasn’t addicted to sugar but I sure did love some chocolate or some candy if possible. I’ve cut most sugary foods out of my diet as of recent and I’ve lost around six pounds
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Meditate
What would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?

    Frank Przekwas's avatar
    Frank Przekwas 3/10/2021 3:01 PM
I would like to invest more time in reflecting on my own personal actions and how than affect the people, environment, and community around me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

    Frank Przekwas's avatar

One barrier on campus is that due to covid most of the water fountains are closed. But there are a few that are open for specifically filling up water bottles. I always have my water bottle in my backpack in case I encounter one of the open water fountains so I can refill and avoid using plastic.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Simplicity De-Clutter My Home or Dorm Room
How can you prevent yourself from accumulating more unnecessary things in the future?

    Frank Przekwas's avatar
    Frank Przekwas 3/09/2021 2:28 PM
When going to purchase something for my dorm room, it would always be smart to ask myself if I truly do need this object or if it is just another impulse purchase.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What's your favorite activity(ies) in which you experience joy while being active and moving?

    Frank Przekwas's avatar

Exercising, lifting weights brings me joy as the exercise is followed by a rush of endorphins and dopamine. Making me happy and healthy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Easy, 3 times a week, my friends and I meet at the gym and exercise together. So we have fun as well as taking care of our bodies.
