REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Learn More about Food ApartheidWhat can lack of access to nutritious food affect a community? How can having access to nutritious food help a community become more resilient?
Frank Przekwas 3/17/2021 4:39 PMA lack of nutritious food in the community or also known as a “food desert” can lead to obesity, depression, and a non-healthy lifestyle. Having access to healthy food within the community can fight back against these problems. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Connect with a NonprofitWhat inspires you to act toward a more sustainable community?
Frank Przekwas 3/17/2021 4:37 PMPersonally I have a want to go good to my community. The high you feel after helping out your community can really push the rest of your day in a great direction. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Conduct Virtual MeetingsHow can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?
Frank Przekwas 3/17/2021 4:36 PMIn my opinion virtual meetings are just the same value wise and culture wise. The only main difference is the location. As long as every has their voice heard it is the same as an in-person meeting. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Reduce refined sugarBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?
Frank Przekwas 3/11/2021 4:22 PMI definitely wasn’t addicted to sugar but I sure did love some chocolate or some candy if possible. I’ve cut most sugary foods out of my diet as of recent and I’ve lost around six pounds -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity MeditateWhat would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?
Frank Przekwas 3/10/2021 3:01 PMI would like to invest more time in reflecting on my own personal actions and how than affect the people, environment, and community around me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Frank Przekwas 3/09/2021 2:30 PMOne barrier on campus is that due to covid most of the water fountains are closed. But there are a few that are open for specifically filling up water bottles. I always have my water bottle in my backpack in case I encounter one of the open water fountains so I can refill and avoid using plastic. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My Home or Dorm RoomHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more unnecessary things in the future?
Frank Przekwas 3/09/2021 2:28 PMWhen going to purchase something for my dorm room, it would always be smart to ask myself if I truly do need this object or if it is just another impulse purchase. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Joyful MovementWhat's your favorite activity(ies) in which you experience joy while being active and moving?
