Grace's actions
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Simplicity
Buy Used Clothes
I will spend 15 minutes learning about the perils of fast fashion and will buy my clothes at second-hand stores when I shop.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 15-minute walk outside each day.
Simplicity
De-Clutter My Home or Dorm Room
I will de-clutter, clean, and donate or recycle unneeded items in my home or dorm room.
Simplicity
Track my Purchases
I will spend 10 minutes each day maintaining a record of all my purchases and learning about my spending habits.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Food
Try a New Way to Prep
I will try a new method of food preparation, such as canning, pickling, or baking bread.
Waste
Learn About & Practice Sustainable Fashion
I will learn about sustainable fashion and begin trying to practice it in my own life.
Participant Feed

Grace Rocker 10/20/2020 5:43 PMYesterday I organized some clothes to donate while decluttering my home and during my daily walk today, I dropped them off at Housing Works. While I was there, I found out about Tuesday discounts for students so I snagged a second-hand pleather jacket and stayed within my budget!
