Anthony's actions
Food
Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
I will watch 1 documentary(ies) about food sovereignty: the right of local peoples to control their own food systems including markets, ecological resources, food cultures and production methods.
Waste
Go Paperless
I will reduce the amount of paper mail that I receive by 0.11lbs (0.05kg) a day or 3.3lbs (1.6kg) a month by opting into paperless billing, ending unwanted subscriptions and opting out of junk mail.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 4 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 4 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.

Anthony Salatto 4/26/2021 6:15 PMFor my Eco-Challenge I decided to commit to using a reusable water bottle daily. This is to help stop my habit of buying water bottles or gatorade as sometimes I can build up a collection. I used my 16z yeti water bottle and Brittany water filter to minimize my purchasing of water bottles. I filled it up 7 times today so I saved at least that many bottles. This also helped me avoid purchasing drinking with takeout food as I also chose to not use plastic straws. From what I learned in class and seen how damaging plastic is to our oceans I really want to help reduce that if I can.
