Morgan's actions
Transportation
Walk Instead
I will walk 2 mile(s) each day instead of driving and avoid sending up to (___) lbs of CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.
Nature
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 20 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside.
Water
Say No to Plastic Straws
An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 4 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

Morgan Talbott 10/08/2019 2:21 PMMy challenge is going well. I have made it a point to walk to campus every day instead of driving, and I skip the straw every time I am out to eat. With the super nice weather we have had this week, I have also made time to enjoy it, whether it be walking down by the river or sitting out on our porch. So far my challenges have been easy to follow, but it will be a test when the weather is no longer as nice as it has been.
