REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Logan Thomas 11/26/2021 5:38 PMWhile doing this challenge, I found that I was able to decompress and fully relax without any distractions. REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Support Pollution ReductionWhat environmental factors affect human health in your region, and how do they affect it?
Logan Thomas 11/14/2021 11:56 PMChemical and air pollution, climate change, and diseases all affect human health in my region. Pollution emits toxic chemicals in both the air and environment that can lead to lung cancer and heart diseases. Climate change can also affect human health due to rising temperatures. This can lead to dehydration, skin cancer, and lack of resources. And of course diseases compromise the overall health of humans through infections that can range from minor to life-threatening. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Host A Watch PartyWhat did you learn about in the documentary you watched? How did it make you feel?
Logan Thomas 11/14/2021 11:44 PMThe documentary was about geoengineering and attempts by many experts to see if it can combat the problems associated with climate change. I learned that it is not fully possible and very unstable, though some concepts could be promising. After watching the documentary, I felt mixed emotions. Mostly curious and concerned. I would be very interested to see if geoengineering experiments could cool the earth and reduce the impact of climate change. However, it has not been fully tested and is very unstable. I hope experts take great caution and concern when conducting these experiments, otherwise we could end up with something much worse than climate change.
