An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

    This week i have been doing extremely well with getting my homework done on time and fitting time in to exercise. I went to the grocery store today and stoped myself from buying meat products and instead bought more vegetables and plant based products.

    This week has been a little hectic with more school work as the semester is starting to end. I have started to get a routine going every week so i can complete these challenges while still having time for school and homework.

    Today i felt that i was able to coordinate my time better so i was able to accomplish my daily goals and found a good system

    So far my eco challenge has been good however i am struggling finding time to exercise during the day when i have school and homework to do.

    This week has been more of a challenge for me because i was sick I got more food to go than i normally do which caused me to use more single use plastic this week.

    My campus eco challenge is going good so far. I am finding obstacles when trying to reduce my plastic waste on campus due to campus only providing single use plastic ware and forgetting to bring my own silverware.
