My campus ecochallenge went very well, I accomplished my goals, and I plan to try and continue these challenges in my every day life as much as I possibly can!

This weeks ecochallenges are going good so far! Today I turned down any bags and any reusable cups that I was offered at the dining hall, in order to reduce my disposable waste. Instead of using bags I used my hands to carry all of my items!

So far my eco challenge has gone well I haven't had to use any disposable bags, because I just carried my purchases out with my hands. The same goes for water-bottles I have only used my reusable water bottle for water, however today when I got coffee at Einsteins they wouldn't allow me to use my own reusable coffee mug, due to Corona Virus, which was kind of a bummer.  I have also continued to power off all of my electronics when needed!

My campus eco challenges have been going well, today I remembered to turn off my computer whenever I was not using it. I also have been using my reusable water bottle instead of any plastic water bottles!

    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

When I find myself in this situation of needing a bag to carry my things, and if I don't have a reusable one at hand, I normally will just not use a bag and find other ways to carry my purchases. For example, I will ask for a friend or family member's help, or I would just use the cart to bring my items to the car. In order to avoid using plastic bags, I will make sure I always have a reusable bag and hand, and or have someone to go with me to the store, just in case if I need help and don't have a reusable option. A few things I will do to make this easier for myself is to have a reusable bag in my car, and next to my door!

    Energy Power Down the Computer
What are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?

Other easy things I could do daily to help reduce my environmental footprint is shut off and unplug everything in my dorm whenever I leave it. Although, this is a simple action, it can be hard remember to always shut off everything, especially when I'm in a rush.
