Elissa's actions
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Health
Go get a check up
I will make an appointment for my annual physical.
Waste
Find Local Recycling Depots
I will find out where to recycle the recyclable items that I can't put in recycling dumpsters or my curbside bin.
Energy
Switch to Cold Water
I will switch to washing my clothes in cold water, saving up to 133 lbs of CO2 a month and 1,600 lbs of CO2 over the course of the next year.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 20-minute walk outside each day.
Waste
RESEARCH LOCAL WASTE SITES
I will spend 30 minutes finding out where landfills and/or toxic waste sites are situated in my region and which communities are most impacted by these sites.
Waste
Go Paperless
I will reduce the amount of paper mail that I receive by 0.11lbs (0.05kg) a day or 3.3lbs (1.6kg) a month by opting into paperless billing, ending unwanted subscriptions and opting out of junk mail.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Elissa Welch 11/05/2020 2:24 PMHi Team! It's been a stressful week! Take an opportunity to watch a sunset or sunrise (challenge item!) over the next few days to help find some peace and balance. Enjoy the weekend! Go Team! -
Elissa Welch 11/04/2020 8:24 AMHi all! Thanks for your participation in this effort! This is a neat tool to help us brainstorm individual actions--often that push us beyond our everyday comfort zone--that can make a difference! Let's all aim for at least 5 personal actions, in waste or other. I welcome your feedback at our next team meeting, thank you! Elissa
