REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Lachlan Bartle 3/25/2022 5:23 PMSome human activities that impact the health of water include fossil fuel production, farming, mining, sewage, climate change, etc. To improve the health of water systems, one can use more cold water, promoting forest protection, helping restore wetlands, etc.-
Farrah Jasmine Dingal 3/26/2022 10:25 AMThis is a good list! The reduction of water consumption, particularly in arid and semi-arid environments may be impactful as well.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Lachlan Bartle 3/23/2022 9:25 AMUsing reusable water bottles is such and easy and efficient way to reduce the unnecessary use for plastic water bottles. In situations where one does not have a reusable water bottle on them, grabbing a plastic water bottle may be the only option. In cases like those, the most one can do is recycle the bottle after. Taking a reusable water bottle everywhere one goes or even keeping one in a bag or in a car can help maintain the habit.
