REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Drive LessHow has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Yvette Renteria-Arreola 5/08/2022 12:22 AMMy main type of transportation throughout my life has been using a personal car, even though I did get the opportunity to ride in some buses to go to places. But, since the majority of my life my family and I have transported/gone to places with a car, I am most used to it now. Another thing is that I do not like to be in a car for long periods of time since I get tired, especially when there is traffic and I do not go out that much since my classes are mostly online. Therefore, I only use a car to go to places sometimes.-
Luz Hernandez 5/12/2022 11:30 AMHi yvette,
I completely understand what you are saying something about being in your own personal vehicle makes the trip comfortable. I think this challenge is one tough one too complete as many of us jut like you metioned have got used to driving in our own vehicles. The major benefit of having online coursees is not having to drive to campus and drive and too from home. -
Christian Perez 5/08/2022 1:04 PMHey Yvette i think most of us are on the same boat as you none of us really like being in traffic or sitting in the car for too long but a car is just the most convenient and fastest way of getting to your destination.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Brush My Teeth Without Running WaterWhat is the main water source in your region? If you don't know, how could you find out?
Yvette Renteria-Arreola 4/22/2022 3:32 AMI think one of the main water sources in the region in where I live is from the Colorado River. I remember my Human Ecology Professor, Professor Moreno, mentioning this in a lecture video in Part 2 for Unit 2. But I have also heard from my Geography professor that there are also two other sources from where California gets its water from. These other water sources are from Los Angeles aqueduct and California State Water Project.-
Christian Perez 4/22/2022 7:08 PMNice Response Yvette i never knew water is brought down from the Colorado River all the way to Southern California i thought we had a lake close by where we got our water from. Its shocking how so many areas of California are getting their water from the same source it's no wonder why were starting to run out.

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Turn it offHow is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?
Yvette Renteria-Arreola 4/09/2022 10:18 PMThe place where I live in, electricity is generated from either geothermal, biomass and/or solar energy. According to a site named “eia” said in an article that generating electricity through geothermal energy, does not have an impact on the Earth, but it all depends on how it is used. Also, in this same site, but in another article by them, they said that during the biomass process of getting energy, it releases Carbon Dioxide but that the amount released is supposedly almost equal to what happens during photosynthesis. Lastly, another article by this site posted that solar energy in fact has a positive instead of a negative effect towards the environment and doesn’t generate air pollution while trying to produce electricity, nor is there greenhouse gases. Therefore, these ways of generating electricity could be said that they are not putting the environment, animals, and humans in a bad situation and in a better way, it could be said.
