I think in the future flooding could be a problem because Honolulu is a coastal city and climate change is causing oceans to rise so we are very vulnerable to floods.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

When I eat without going on my phone or computer, it allows me to just be present in the moment and focus on myself

    Simplicity Needs Vs. Wants
How is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?

Creativity is necessary for practicing simplicity because you have to think about what you could do with less items and how your life won't crumble if you don't buy something you want

this is true, and a good way to look at it. Creativity is what can make ones life great. Look at the bigger picture instead of the small things.

Michael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?

If you eat a healthy and rounded diet, paying for a doctors visit is less common so I think the idea of paying the grocer rather than the doctor is a good idea

Here's three things I do to make sure my life is a little more sustainable
    1. Always make sure I put nature first
    2. Be aware of my consumption habits
    3. Respect animals like I respect people!
