REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Reis Wagner 4/09/2020 7:02 PMYeah this is suprising to me, its so wasteful to throw out food like that-
Breckin Sargeant 4/13/2020 12:09 PMI think the amount of food we waste is totally out of line. We can buy food more efficiently and use what we buy to be able to use that money for more important things. Perhaps we could travel, pay bills, or get something special.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Plant an Herb GardenConsider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?

REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Enjoy the Sunrise/SunsetFather Thomas Berry says, "... our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." What is your response to Berry's assertion?
Reis Wagner 4/09/2020 6:57 PMI think this is true both metaphorically and physically! Sunsets are awesome! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Reis Wagner 4/09/2020 6:56 PMI definitely can relate to this, I think i personally have benfitted from this as well. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Do Nature ActivitiesWhat did you observe while spending time outside -- through sight, sound, smell and/or touch?

REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Tend a GardenHave you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.
Reis Wagner 4/09/2020 6:53 PMGardening has given me a new perspective on food and produce, and how and where we get it. -
