I was fortunate enough today to spend time doing art. I love drawing and painting but with school I barely have time. It was lovely to spend time today away from my phone and focusing on myself and my thoughts. It’s not finished yet, but here’s what I have so far.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
What are some of the needs that water meets or benefits that water provides for you?

Drinking water makes me feel healthier and more energized. Any time I drink coffee or juice, I don’t feel too well after. I make sure to carry my reusable water bottle with me everywhere.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What did you substitute or could be substituted instead?

Instead of using tinfoil or plastic bags to hold my sandwich that I bring to school, I have been using a reusable container! I also have been bringing my own reusable bags while shopping, and even not taking a bag at all. I even work at a shoe store, and I always ask the people I ring up If they would like a bag, Instead of automatically giving them one.

On Saturday I participated In a community event, which entailed completing crafts with kids who have cancer. Not only did this event make the children happy, but my craft allowed for them to experience nature In a fun way. We made hedgehogs that had leaves glued to them, and the leaves looked like their quills. This taught the children that nature Is art.
