I really like how I am going on social media less now, gives me more time to focus on other things that are actually important.

When you disengage from your everyday routine, it allows your brain to function somewhere else. When you return to you schedule you can use the other part of your brain that is now relaxed and recharged.

Today I meditated twice and right after my first meditation I enjoyed the sunrise as I walked out of the YMCA.I had to turn off my heating because it is not cold enough yet.

Some of the challenges that were provided I realized that I normally do on a daily basis. The ones I have picked I tend to be more conscious about during this challenge. I hope to not only keep these habits but show others how easy it is to do.

If I had my own yard I would start my own garden to grow most of my own produce. This way I'm reducing CO2 emissions and providing an area for local pollinators to help the environment.

The energy of La Crosse is generated by Xcel energy. They impact the world by using fossil fuels, but are finding ways to utilize more sustainable ways to create energy via wind and solar. This impacts the environment with pollution as of right now, but in the future it may only minimally impact them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

With the money I have saved I will continue to save so I can go do more outdoor recreation activities. I love to hike and backpack in the La Crosse area with the cool fall weather.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

Barries to using reusable water bottles is the accessibility. It is very easy to grab a plastic water bottle from the fridge at the student union when I forgot to grab my own water bottle at home. I try to be very conscious of my wastefulness.
