Matthew's actions
Nature
Enjoy the Sunrise/Sunset
I will enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset each day.
Nature
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 15 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside.
Food
Buy From a Farmers Market
I will purchase produce and meat from a local farmers market or food co-op.
Food
Choose Organic Ingredients
I will enjoy 1 meal(s) cooked with organic ingredients each day.
Nature
Do Nature Activities
I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my friends or family, for 30 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)
Nature
Leave No Trace
I will practice the seven principles of Leave No Trace when doing nature activities alone or with family and friends.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 30-minute walk outside each day.
Nature
Tend a Garden
I will tend to a garden, or prepare for one, each day using sustainable gardening practices.
Nature
Support Local Pollinators
At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators to produce fruit. I will spend 30 minutes researching which plants support local native pollinators and plant some in my yard or local community garden.
Nature
Practice Gratitude for Earth
I will spend 15 minute(s) per day outside, practicing gratitude (prayer, meditation, journaling, etc.) for Earth and my natural surroundings.

Matthew Plock 11/04/2021 7:41 AMpumpkin seeds are coming up and bean seeds are starting to sprout as well. Tomato plant still looks good and as long as the weather stays cool I will be good to go soon and enjoy the fruits of my labor.-
Matthew Plock 11/05/2021 10:21 AMThanks for the question Artesia. Once the vine starts I put a tomato cage over them and let them take hold. This is the 2nd time I planted them and so far they are doing well. They will start to flower in a month or so, hopefully the weather will hold out and they will start producing -
Artesia Wagersreiter 11/04/2021 10:22 PMI just got some green bean seeds to plant - do you have any tips on how best to grow them if you're doing green beans? I'm trying to do what I can with my 5x10 patio and right now that means a small papaya and hibiscus tree (both under three feet).
