    What are some of the needs that water meets or benefits that water provides for you?

    Some of the benefits that water provides for me is that not only does it hydrate me, but it also helps me wash myself and the food I eat. I have been mindful, however, of how much water I use. But I have noticed that water is really important for us in general.

      Hi Daniela,
      I agree when it comes to water although we use it daily for many things it is also good to be sustainable and save water because although we might say or think that water is going to be here with us forever you never know when one day all the water will be gone.

    How is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?

    Creativity is a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity because it gives you different ways of looking at a situation and solve it using what you already have. For example, for this challenge, I had to decide between wants and needs which was hard at first because I want to buy everything I like. However, I stopped myself and started to look around at what I already have and decide whether I really need that item for like "survival" or could I survive without it and still be fine.

    I would like to invest more time in reflecting on how I can lower my water usage. For example, I usually take 20 minute showers which means that I use a lot of water. I been trying to figure out how I can go from 20 to maybe 10 minute showers.

      Hello Daniela I also relate to your reflection in how i can also lower my water usage as i tend to take long when i take a shower. I also been thinking of energy consumption as another thing that i need to figure out to reduce. A thing that you can do to take less time in the shower is to clean fats and efficacy I myself tend to take my time. but doing this has helped me.

    How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

    Eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat has positively affected myself by feeling better about my health and also, I feel like I am helping the planet by lowering the water usage that it takes to produce one pound of meat. Even though I know that fruits and vegetables also need water to grow, it is less water than meat. It has also affected people around me, such as my family, by also consuming more fruits and vegetables than usual.

    One could incorporate other personal values like spending time with friends and nature into one's exercise routine by going on a hike. You can go on a hike with friends and enjoy nature at the same time.

      These are great ways to interact with our loved ones and nature! I love going on hikes because I feel more connected to nature and it is an amazing workout. It also helps battle my stress and I always feel happier after the hike.

    Michael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?

    I do think that it it better to pay the grocer than the doctor because many problems that are caused by the lack of not eating whole foods can be prevented by ourselves rather than going to the doctor. I feel like many of us know what we need to eat, but refuse to do it until we have health problems.

      Hello Daniela i agree with what you are saying when we start paying attention to what we eat and improve our eating habits the chances of us going to the doctor lower. So we can honestly live healthier lives without going to the doctor it just depends on us.

    Being able to exercise today, on a Monday, for 64 minutes really brought up my confidence and it is motivating me to keep going to the gym for the rest of the week.
