    Energy Power Down the Computer
What are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?

I think some of the easiest things would be to turn off any extra lights you are not using. Most of the time I won't even use any light around my house I will just walk around in complete darkness. I don't know why I do this I think I just want to see how well I know my house. There are a lot of other saving options but I think the main one that should be focused on is using lights, it's a very simple one but if everyone does it could save so much energy.

      1) Turn off lights and unplug devices when you’re not using them. Every little action adds up!
      2) Keep stuff out of the landfill. Sell items you no longer use to thrift shops, have a yard sale, or donate them to charity. Recycle or repurpose everything you can’t get rid of.
      3) Use the cold water cycle for washing your clothes. And do your laundry in FULL loads. This will decrease the amount of water and energy used, helping you save time and money. Bonus points for line-drying – it takes a lot of energy to power your dryer!
      4) Use alternative transportation (bus, train, carpool, or bike) to get to work one day per week. Enjoy the chance to catch up on your reading instead of testing your patience in traffic!

    Food Zero-Waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for using every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable (including the skins, tops, stalks, etc.) during your next meal prep?

As long as I could cook that part of a vegetable it would not be a problem. I also never take the skin off of any vegetables that I cook for myself so that is not a problem. I will use almost anything from the vegetable I can and If i cook it I would not really mind at all.

      Hi Maverick,
It is nice to hear you enjoy every part of a vegetable. It really helps our climate from pollution at landfills and stop food waste. I try to incorporate using the entire vegetable on most of them but some veggies I prefer not to eat skin like potatoes I personally do not like the skin on them.

    Health Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

I would definitely like to fall asleep earlier rather than falling asleep past 1 AM every night. If I do a lot of work or some type of activity during the day it is a lot easier for me to fall asleep earlier during the day.

Hello Maverick! I totally agree with you on the sleeping schedule. Having a more productive day will let anyone ease into a good night sleep. Adjustments must be made in order to go to sleep at a decent time, regarding someones daily schedule.

Hello Maverick I do agree with you especially with the time frame. Being a full time mom, still going to school and working can cause me to get less sleep and have more stress but with more sleep it’ll adjust my attitude and also my errands I need to do during the day.
