Happy Earth Day my fellow environmentalists! I'm so thankful to be an inhabitant (and guest!) of this planet and plan to live gently upon it. My #1 goal for today is to spread ecofeminist discourse and encourage those around me to become more knowledgable on realistic ways to act with the environment in mind.

Orange County gets the majority of its freshwater from imported sources. The Colorado River is a large source of water for this region! I found out simply by Googling "Main source of water in Orange County."

It's been raining pretty heavily where I live lately and I feel very happy that the plants will be able to replenish their nutrients during this time! I feel like the Earth is getting a much needed breather.

Challenge was particularly tough today. It was raining outside so my exercise had to be cut into 3x 10 minute HIIT exercises outside when the rain let up a bit!

Myself: My body feels nourished and full of energy! I feel happy to have given my body something healthy and nutrient-rich to eat. While taking my daily walk, I like to get onto 5-10 minute calls with my friends and loved ones to simply check in and see how they're doing. It shows them that I care about their wellbeing during this time and nourishes my relationships, even if they're at a distance.

Day 3 and my favorite time of day is when I can go outside and take my dog for a walk! We typically go for about 30 minutes to an hour, and it's during this time that I can take a good look at nature and appreciate the ground we walk on!

Day 2 and feeling like consistency won't be an issue while in self-quarantine! A highlight of my day was to incorporate TONS of fruits and vegetables into a nutrient-rich smoothie; I haven't actively nourished my body like this in a while.

Although it's recommended to wash your hands for 20 seconds, don't keep the water running the entire time! Be mindful of the running water during the time you're lathering your hands with soap.

First day participating in this challenge and I'm feeling good! I hope to recruit more team members to join and earn points as well, because I think it's a great way to stay involved environmentally while staying safe in self-quarantine!
