Learning how to compost was really awesome, but I don't have any way to actually use compost, i just rent a room in an apartment and I dont have a yard or plants. But overall, at least there's a good use for food waste.

I went to my bank app, set it to paperless and most of my bills are paid online anyways.

It was pretty interesting to see where the nearest landfill is. Mine is the Scholl Canyon Landfill, its estimated to close in 2030 due to being full and currently allows 3,400 tons daily.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Enjoy the Sunrise/Sunset
Father Thomas Berry says, "... our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." What is your response to Berry's assertion?

    Kassandra Guzman 4/12/2021 12:21 PM
I agree with Berry’s assertion because it has become a ritual to celebrate things habitually because of the way we experience time and seasons on Earth. Therefore, we follow the rules of the Earth’s seasons to plan our lives accordingly.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Practice Gratitude for Earth
Kathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How can we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?

I do believe that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. I believe that by creating a sense of gratitude through exploring all the wonders the world has to offer we create a better bond with the world.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

    Kassandra Guzman 4/12/2021 12:17 PM
I feel that when you are walking time goes by slower and you are living more in the moment rather than when driving.

This can be helpful for my health because working on oneself is important like anything else. We value ourselves as we should value others
