December 2 at 10:24 PMI have wanted to cut down on social media because it not only wastes time, but It also is a constant source of comparison. I think cutting my time down has been good at helping me live in the present.

December 2 at 10:12 PMSleep has been a big thing I have focused on this semester. I have worked to get into bed by 10:30. This has been pretty big for me and has really helped in my overall health!
-
November 13 at 8:17 AMSleep is often something I overlook in my life and commuting to my 8 AM class everyday means I have to be up really early. I'm working on getting to sleep earlier each night and limiting my technology use before sleeping in order to increase and improve my quality of sleep.

November 13 at 8:14 AMA sharing economy can be a great way to minimize our demand for new products by recycling and reusing perfectly good things that some people no longer have a use for. Ultimately it can save some people money and make others feel better about where their things go!

November 11 at 10:03 AMAfter dialing in my shower time, the next step I can take is having a plastic free shower/bathroom. This idea was brought up to me by a friend in Washington this summer. She has been working to reduce her plastic by buying items for her shower that come in the form of bars - shampoo bars, conditioner bars, and also the tooth paste cubes! I am...

November 11 at 10:00 AMSomething that stands in the way of me saying no to single use mugs simply is convenience- This is a harsh reality. By planning ahead and bringing a mug with me, I can eliminate or greatly reduce my need for single use mugs! I also use my french press every morning (very little waste), and I can bring my coffee with me. This will not only save...

November 4 at 8:57 AMI think that today we often pretend like as humans we aren't a part of the natural world that surrounds us. By spending time each day to focus on the rising and setting sun it causes me to consider how I am a small piece in a much larger and more beautiful system.

November 4 at 8:55 AMBy limiting the amount of time that I spend on social media I feel like I have less reason to constantly check my phone which helps me focus more on my immediate environment.

October 27 at 10:06 PMI love the challenge about watching the sunrise or sunset everyday. Even though we live right on the water, I am always rushing from thing to thing, and I often forget to stop and admire the beauty of the sky and the ocean! This is a good challenge for me to slow down and really stop running around for a couple minutes. It is awesome!

October 16 at 5:25 PMThis has been a one that has been a pretty easy switch. I am just more cautious about it. It does not change much about my daily routine and has been very easy to implement each day!
