    Water Collect Rain Water
Trace the water that flows down the drain from your house to the largest body of water nearby. What is the route it takes?

The rainwater that flows down from my house must mostly go through subterranean channels, since there are no large rivers between my location on the Waterville Plateau and the Colombia River. Its also possible that some of it is sequestered in underground reservoirs.

    Waste Compost Food Waste
New to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?

I haven't really thrown food away for quite some time, but composting makes use of some organic matter that people don't usually eat. While it takes a couple years for compost to fully be broken down, it can be useful as fertilizer quite soon, especially if enough high carbon plant material is added.

Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

The primary barrier is the fact that many events provide plastic water bottles, so its a lot easier to just use them instead of bringing along a reusable water bottle. Therefore, I'd say you just need to think a little more about that kind of thing.

Hi- just wanted to say that I have been trying to pick up 5 to 10 pieces of garbage every day since I started the ecochallenge. It is going really well. I find myself going for it more than I usually would. I feel like a perfect person every time I grab something and pick it up and throw it away. I could technically hang on to this habit and not let go. Picking up garbage is the best thing that ever happened to garbage that is left on the ground. I use my reusable face mask too while I am out. I have not purchased any water bottles during this time when I am thirsty to save a plastic water bottle each day. I am completely fine with using a scooper to pick up animal feces everyday if it is more sanitary and healthy safest. I last of all learned pretty much learned what social justice of the people of the world is by reading and watching a video. So that sums up how my ecochallenge has been incorporated.

    Food Plant an Herb Garden
Consider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?

I bought wood and decided to make a small Garden box. My dad helped me make it and my mom helped planting seeds. Now I can see small sprouts growing. I’m excited to see the prosees.

I saw myself purchasing alot  of plastic water bottles, and noticed how much more efficient and healthy is to carry a water bottle with you. I think it’s important to limit the purchase of harmful products and it’s also cheaper to have reusable things on hand.

Everytime I write three things Im grateful, it adds stability, focus, and gratitude into my day. Also I complete this challenge in the morning, making me feel the slightest bit more accomplished before I start my day.

Writing the three things I am thankful for every day increases the success of starting my day. Thankfulness is an awesome thing and thanking someone even for the smallest things goes a long way.
