    Food Plant an Herb Garden
Consider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?

What I did is I planted some herb seeds and flower seeds that my family had, and I planted them in an indoor garden box. I just built it with 2 by 4s threw some dirt in a boom a garden. I also did some research to make sure the plants I have would grow well together.

No I don't really care much for sugar but with easter came a lot of candy so I needed to make sure I didn't eat too much.

My challenge is going really well. This has really opened my eyes up to how easy it is to implement some of these changes. Doing things like being mindful of the environment around me or taking shorter showers are things I could have easily been doing all along.

I would typically eat meat products at least once a day whether it's at lunch or dinner. I had already been going meatless on Friday's because of Lent, but that recently ended and I figured I would add to the challenge and go meatless a few more meals! So far it's been going pretty good.

Nice job Megan!  I have been trying to go meatless and usually succeed at least once a day for the 3 meals.  It's hard when my mom is making the meals sometimes though because there is always meat.

Hello all!  My EcoChallenge is going great!  I had to modify one of them because I am currently not home but I made it work.  Instead of de-cluttering my room at home I decided to de-clutter multiple rooms at my grandparents house in Maine where I am currently staying.  Lots of stuff got donated or honestly just thrown out because it was just too old.  I have been spending plenty of time outdoors here as well!  Maine is such a beautiful state and with everything else being closed theres not much else to do other than explore!  Hope everyone else's challenges are going well!

    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Yes, I agree with Rachel. Every time I go outside there is something new to explore and if I can't find anything I'm not looking hard enough. Nature can connect to every part of us (emotional, spiritual, physical, etc) we just have to spend more time in it to see the benefits.

It is refreshing to get outside and can help you be maybe getting a new perspective or just have a change of pace.

I have been going on "social distance" walks with a friend where we walk together over facetime. We take our dogs on walks and call each other so we can talk while getting exercise. It gets me motivated to actually go on a walk/ run because someone holds me accountable.

This is so great!  I love this idea!  Having someone to hold you accountable for exercise helps.  Also great job adapting with the virus and all.
