    Simplicity Limit Social Media
Social media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also create echo chambers and take more time than we realize or intend to give. After completing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?

After taking the time to cut down my social media, I notice I feel better in my everyday life. I am more present and engaged with my friends when they are in the room with me, and I find myself doing other better and entertaining activities like getting outside, reading for pleasure, or that I have more time for homework.

    Simplicity Work-Life Balance
How might practicing work-life balance lead to a more sustainable life for yourself? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?

By practicing work life balance, I have seen changes in myself for the better that are sustainable. When I put a time cap on how much time I spend working, that really helped my focus my attention on work and only work for the eight hours I spend on it in a day, instead of flipping my attention between work, social media, running errands, and other distracting things. Instead, I get my work done in a timely manner, and I am satisfied with the work I've done during the day. This commitment to work makes it easier to put it down at the end of the night.

The eco challenge has really helped me throughout this time period to be aware of my social media use, and how much more I can get done in my day when I cut out unnecessary time spent on there.
