4/25 I had initially chosen to spend more time outside, and commit some of that time to not using my car and walking to locations instead. However, as of 4/29 I have been sick due to allergies up until the end of this ecochallenge. Therefore, from 4/29, I had to switch my extra time outside to going to bed earlier to commit more hours of sleep...

Screen Time on my phone reports that I am down 14% from my entire phone usage from last week.  Last week's average was 7 hours and this week was 5 hours.

I chose this action because I see the paper waste in offices and it is over the top.  Hundreds of sheets of papers are thrown in the trash every week and double sided printing saves paper waste and money.  Being conscious of this keeps me aware to save in any way that I can.  This challenge went well. I have been doing it off and on or whenever...

For my Eco-Challenge I decided to commit to walking for at least 30 minutes a day as well as showing gratitude for our earth. I think it's important to spend quality time outdoors and with our earth in order to ground ourselves and show love to nature. I am also going to be using only reusable water bottles for this challenge in order to save...

Taking my kids outside every day (as long as the weather is nice) is a good source of exercise for all of us. They especially love playing outside and always ask me to take them. Over the winter I got cold (and lazy) and stopped taking them out.  Now that the weather is getting nicer, I need to get in shape. I can kill 3 birds with one stone by...

I have tried and did all of the above.  Having a large property allowed me to actually create a permaculture garden.  This will change this summer, as we are downsizing, so patio containers is the way I will go.

Walking [my dog] is a great way to see your neighbors and meet new ones.  Dog walkers have a special connection and the majority of the neighbors that I have met were in that way.  I try to walk everyday that the weather is cooperating.

For my Eco-Challenge I decided to commit to using a reusable water bottle daily. This is to help stop my habit of buying water bottles or gatorade as sometimes I can build up a collection. I used my 16z yeti water bottle and Brittany water filter to minimize my purchasing of water bottles. I filled it up 7 times today so I saved at least that...

Hey everyone, for my Eco-Challenge i decided to print everything double sided in order to save paper usage. I also chose to use less plastic water bottles to reduce plastic waste. I have been using a reusable water bottle the past year or two instead of drinking multiple plastic Poland Spring bottles. Ever since I found out how bad these...

For my Eco-Challenge I decided to commit to making at least 1 meatless or vegan meal each day. Reducing the amount of animal products I consume has been a goal of mine for a while and this class has only amplified those feelings. I hope that this challenge will give me an incentive to make this a part of my regular routine. The other action I...
